The beautiful views of Larkspur, Colorado were the perfect backdrop for a day full of new ideas, inspiration and networking connections. The Colorado Technology Association hosted the 9thannual Women in Technology Conference where participants heard from a variety of speakers and engaged in conversation around women on the topics of leadership, innovation, opportunities and challenges in today’s technology landscape. This day brought together a group of strong women that are reaching to improve themselves in every facet of life.
To start off the day, Beth Comstock, business executive and author, spoke about change and failure as a part of life. Her fresh perspective and honest storytelling on these topics created a fast sense of community among the audience. She wrapped up her presentation by accepting questions and having genuine conversation with the women in attendance.
Throughout the day, different panels were introduced to the stage. These included panel discussions about artificial intelligence, diversity and inclusion in the Denver technology community, and “climbing the technology professional ladder.” In between each of these sessions, there was time to network, a “Mindful Moments” session led by Shana Cordon of The Moxy Lab, and tasty snacks to munch on.
To close out the day, the CTA held a happy hour and time to network with everyone at the conference. Because of the intentional topics discussed during the day, this networking time was filled with meaningful conversation and fellowship.
