Kristina will be providing program support to instructors and ensuring program effectiveness at our host schools in Denver, JeffCo, and Adams 12 districts.
When asked why she chose to work with KidsTek, Kristina said, “I love helping others build confidence in themselves. I believe that KidsTek effectively does this by providing the tools and skills students need to succeed in this fast-paced, technological world. Being able to offer these programs to those who need it most is truly exciting.”
Before coming to KidsTek, Kristina taught outdoor skills, science, and team building initiatives in Tennessee, North Carolina, California, and Colorado. Through this experience, Kristina learned to work with people of all ages and all walks of life. She also learned how to think on her feet, how to solve problems quickly, and how to remain flexible in tough situations. What Kristina loves most about this time is that she was able to build lasting relationships with people all across the country and teach skills that will benefit participants throughout their lives.
Kristina is originally from Alabama, and went to school at Jacksonville State University before becoming an educational nomad. She earned her degree in Recreational Leadership and Outdoor Education. She also worked as the Waterski Director for YMCA Camp Ocoee. In her free time, Kristina can be found hiking, biking, snowboarding, or going on impromptu road trips with friends.
We are very excited to have Kristina with us!
