KidsTek’s Student of the Month for May is Trinity Vargas, Senior at North High School in Denver. Trinity is a hard-working, mature student who challenges herself and has held herself to a high standard during this unusual year.
Emily Tow, KidsTek Instructor at North said, “Trinity is such a go-getter! She is not only always on top of her class work, but even chose to study independently for an extra certification outside of class time. Her positive attitude and bright smile are a great addition to our classroom community!” Trinity studied for and passed the Microsoft Word Certification in the fall and is currently doing independent study to take the Microsoft Excel Certification before the end of the school year. Meghan Lang, Program Manager with KidsTek, has worked with Trinity throughout the year and shared, “I really appreciate that she elects to go above and beyond what typical students are doing and really cares about improving herself for the future. It is very impressive, and she is a great role model for other students!”
In her free time, Trinity loves playing outside with her sisters whether it’s cornhole or card games. She plans to attend Oregon State University this fall, but before that she will enjoy summer here in Colorado with her family and friends! Trinity commented, “I love that we have creative liberty in many of our projects in the KidsTek class!”
