We’ve just finished some of our summer camps in Aurora through the City of Aurora’s COMPASS program.
A typical KidsTek class has our students exploring different programs, researching the internet, and creating all kinds of projects. Last week, however, students had something new to explore during their last week of summer camp.
At Fulton Elementary, community partner CaveSim came to educate students in the art of caving. Students were able to traverse through a cave simulation, ascend up a rope town, communicate with wired radios, and learn about echolocation. Both of our Program Specialists assisted in facilitating these activities.
Even though the KidsTek focus is on technology education, community providers like CaveSim sometimes help us get off the computers!
We appreciate our partners who helped make this happen.
