This is the fifth year that SIM Colorado (the Society for Information Management) has benefitted KidsTek through holding their annual ‘SIM Tank’ event. This ‘Shark Tank’-styled event kicked off with networking, food, and beverages. Once the program began, three different start-ups pitched their business plans, including a couple of innovative apps and a high-speed transportation idea. After the presentations, Fatima Prieto, KidsTek student from Hinkley High School, gave some remarks about her experience with KidsTek. To wrap up this wonderful event, the judges chose an idea winner and awarded the business $5,000 start-up money.
KidsTek was also graciously awarded a donation of $20,000 from SIM Colorado. Through creative events and generous people like those at SIM Colorado, KidsTek continues to thrive and an impact on youth in the Denver Metro area!
