This school year is off to a great start! KidsTek began classes at Hinkley High school on August 12th, and Katy Limes, KidsTek instructor at Hinkley, is busy building relationships with her class, covering introductory content and having fun being back in person with students.
KidsTek Student of the Month for August is Samuel Addai-Opoku from Hinkley High School. Sam is a sophomore this year and is currently enrolled in KidsTek’s “Introduction to Computing” class. Katy shared, “From the very beginning of the school year, Sam was noticeably respectful, engaged and very kind to everyone in the room.” After a significant amount of time doing virtual and hybrid learning, it is such a breath of fresh air to have students like Sam in person.
Sam joined the KidsTek class because one of his former teachers, Mr. Dumpert, recommended it to him. Sam has recently found an interest in technology and is trying to learn as much as he can about it. When he is not at school, he enjoys playing soccer. Fun fact: Sam plays midfielder for the Hinkley Thunderbirds!
Thank you, Sam for your hard work and Congratulations!
