At Denver’s North High School, KidsTek’s Business Computing class spent most of the fall semester advancing their Microsoft Word skills in a business context. Their learning of advanced Word skills is intended to help them both in their school projects and their professional lives.
Students that felt sufficiently advanced were given the opportunity to take certification exams to demonstrate their skills. We’re very proud to announce that four of the students in our class have earned Microsoft Office Specialist in Word certifications.
The students: Lazarus West, Josias Chavez, Elias Holmes, and Jacobo Ornelas will be receiving certificates and will be able to list the accomplishment on resumes and job-hunting sites like LinkedIn.
KidsTek provides workforce-readiness skills students need for the 21st-Century job market. This same class will be taking Microsoft Office Specialist in Excel exams next month!
