New High School Instructor!

We are excited to announce a new addition to the KidsTek team! Jacob Clauson joined us last month and will be taking over teaching the Business Computing class at North High School in Denver and teaching at other sites in the future.

Jacob is a Colorado native and is currently studying Astronomy and Education at CU Boulder. “I have a passion for teaching, and for education in general,” said Jacob. “I became interested in KidsTek because I love the mission behind it: helping kids who might not have access to technology at home gain access and proficiency that will greatly benefit them in life.”

“I’m so excited to see what Jacob does with the class!” said Program Manager Emily Tow. “He has such a great rapport with the students already and has such a wide variety of interests and expertise to lend to his curriculum.”

Jacob has previously taught English as a Foreign Language in Japan, and also teaches elementary-aged students how to play chess through a program in Boulder.

“I’m excited to start my high school teaching career at North, and I’m looking forward to meeting and interacting with the diversity of students there,” said Jacob.

Welcome to the team, Jacob!
