To celebrate all their hard work this spring, KidsTek students from North and South middle school COMPASS programs in Aurora visited The Microsoft Store and got to show off their skills in Windows Movie Maker and Kodu, a new visual programming language made specifically for creating games. Ms. Courtney’s class from North has been creating worlds and original video games in Kodu since the start of the session. While Ms. Annie’s class at South Middle School made movies by recording their voices and laying sound over animation in Movie Maker. The field trip wasn’t all work though – students played with the many Kinect and Xbox 360 systems, phones and laptops around the store.
