During this unique time, Tony Grampsas Youth Services (a program of the Colorado Department of Human Services) has offered organizations like KidsTek the opportunity to apply for an emergency grant that can be used to support the families of our students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
KidsTek learned of this opportunity because of our long-standing partnership with the City of Aurora and the COMPASS after school programs, where Tony Grampsas Youth Services (TGYS) helps to fund these programs.
KidsTek is using these TGYS COVID-19 Emergency Response funds to buy grocery store gift cards from King Soopers. We are currently distributing these to the families of the Aurora middle school students in our program.
Thanks to the generosity of TGYS, KidsTek is able to pass along this act of kindness to the families of our students and provide a little extra support during this trying time.
