Kierra Neely is an incoming 4th grader at Kenton Elementary school in Aurora. She is currently taking KidsTek’s first online elementary class that is being provided through the COMPASS enrichment program. Kierra immediately stood out to KidsTek instructor Kiki Andriani for her calm presence and warm smile. Kierra has attended each of the online sessions offered by KidsTek during June and continues to impress with her commitment and positive attitude.
Getting used to distance learning isn’t easy for either students or staff. But, when students have a good attitude and are interested in learning, it really creates a good online learning environment. When asked why she chose to nominate Kierra as KidsTek’s student of the month, Kiki said, “Kierra is a pleasure to have in class. She’s always present, on time, and her pleasant disposition is a breath of fresh air! Her dedication is exemplary.”
One of Kierra’s favorite parts of her KidsTek class so far was creating an ‘All About Me’ presentation, which helped her classmates and teachers get to know her better. Outside of school, Kierra enjoys making slime and spending time at her sister’s house. When she grows up, Kierra wants to be a doctor.
Congrats, Kierra! We appreciate your dedication to our class, and wish you all the best in your future!
