Technology has the power to connect our world, and no one knows that better than KidsTek instructor Annie Abramson. Annie has traveled extensively and brings her worldly experiences to classes at South Middle School, Place Bridge Academy and Aurora Central High School. In her after school classes, Annie works with students from several different countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Mexico, Tanzania, Burma and many more.
Place Bridge Academy is a Denver Public School that serves many refugees and newcomers to the United States. More than 50 countries and 30 languages are represented in the school’s student body of 1,045 ECE through 8th graders. Annie reinforces both English vocabulary and computer skills through project-based learning at Place Bridge and her other sites.
In her College and Career Class at Aurora Central High, students are creating resumes and will complete the class in mid-April with mock job interviews. To volunteer to help conduct these interviews, contact KidsTek Program Specialist Carolyn Matthews at
