We would like to welcome our new Program Specialist, Meghan Lang, to the KidsTek team!
Meghan will be supporting our programs in the Aurora Public Schools. When asked why she chose to work with KidsTek, Meghan said “watching students grow and developing relationships with them is what I am most passionate about professionally. It excites me to be able to work with a non-profit that reaches out to students who otherwise might not have the opportunity to have training and access to technology and computer literacy education. So far, from what I have observed and learned about KidsTek, they are genuinely invested in providing positive mentorship and education for those students who need it most.”
Meghan has been a 3rd grade teacher at Yale Elementary in Aurora during the last school year, and taught at a private school in Denver the year before that. She enjoyed having the opportunity to share her love for learning with many different students while watching them grow personally in the classroom.
Meghan grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and attended College in Kansas City, Missouri. She moved to Denver once she graduated college, wanting to move to a new city. Meghan had worked a summer at a Ranch in Wyoming, and fell in love with the mountains. She figured Denver was a good place to move to be closer to the mountains and still not be too far from her hometown.
When Meghan is not working, she enjoys hiking, playing with her puppy Kaya, reading, movies, and being out with her friends. Each weekend looks very different. She also loves traveling and visiting friends and family all over the country.
We are so excited to have Meghan join our team!
