KidsTek would like to welcome Lysa Stewart to our management team!  Lysa is our newest Program Specialist who will be managing our sites in Denver Public Schools, Adams 12, and JeffCo districts.

 

Lysa graduated from Poudre Valley High School in Ft. Collins and went on to attend Colorado State University where she studied early childhood education.  Lysa moved to Denver in 1993 and soon started working for the Denver Public Schools Department of Extending Learning as a Lead Teacher at Marrama Elementary School.  Lysa has substantial experience in program management and development, previously fulfilling these roles at the Summer Scholars and Open World Learning after school programs.  Before this, Lysa was an Area Supervisor for many years with Kaleidoscope Corner, a Denver Public Schools before and after school program. Her favorite aspect of working in after school programs is seeing how they encourage children to be engaged in learning outside of the classroom.

 

In her spare time Lysa enjoys traveling and often visits her family throughout the United States and Europe.
