KidsTek Visits Peak 10 + ViaWest Data Center!

KidsTek is always looking for opportunities to allow students to interact with IT professionals. These interactions allow students to start making industry connections early in life. This past week, our KidsTek class from Aurora’s Hinkley High School had the opportunity to visit Peak 10 + ViaWest Data Center to learn more about the functioning of a data center and its employees.

Sales Engineer Shaun Clark said, “If we can influence our youth by showing them a career in information technology that is attainable, then perhaps we can make a positive difference in their lives.” Mr. Clark led the students on a very informative tour of the facility and answered a myriad of student questions. At the end of the field trip, students had the opportunity to break down and rebuild working computer servers.

We are grateful to the Peak 10 + ViaWest team for providing such an educational and fun educational experience to the Hinkley students. Traci Ellison, Senior HR Business Partner said, “It is encouraging to see the KidsTek organization giving students opportunities to explore their passion for IT and supporting their future career in technology.”

Thank you to to the wonderful staff at Peak 10 + ViaWest!
