KidsTek held our annual fundraising gala last week at the Space Gallery in the Santa Fe Arts District.
This year’s event, emceed by sportscaster Vic Lombardi, included speeches from KidsTek students Josias Chavez, Elias Holmes, Lazarus West and Fatima Prieto. Each of the four high school students spoke about what they enjoyed about KidsTek and what they have learned in our program. Fatima Prieto shared, “I can proudly say that I have learned many new things about myself throughout the school year, thanks to KidsTek… I am growing as a person and I now know that it is okay to say yes to opportunities offered to me, whether that be from KidsTek or any place else. I will forever be grateful for the lessons I’ve learned from KidsTek both inside and outside the class.”
We are very proud of our four speakers and the hard work they put into bravely sharing their KidsTek experience in front of over 200 people. These student speakers helped make our gala special for all who attended.
