Wesley Garcia
KidsTek is proud to be serving students at North High School in Denver for a fourth consecutive year. Instructor Rob Wellington is delivering the business computing curriculum, which gives participants a mix of business entrepreneurship concepts and computer skills important for post-secondary success. One exceptional student in this year’s class is our student all-star for this month, Wesley Garcia!
Wesley is junior at North, and this is his first year at the school. He shares that, “North is a place where you can explore new opportunities and make new friends.” Wesley is doing just that as a member of the choir and runner for the school cross-country team. His dream after high school is to pursue a culinary arts degree from Johnson & Wales. From his earliest years, Wesley remembers helping his mother and grandmother with cooking. He hopes to one day own his own restaurant. Wesley believes that the KidsTek class has helped him understand more about branding, logo designs, and how to design a business letter with an elevator pitch.
Congratulations Wesley, for being such a great member of our class, and a wonderful part of North High School!
