According to the Colorado Department of Human Services, 2,367 refugees were resettled in Colorado last year alone. The majority of refugees are resettled in the Denver metro area. KidsTek staff are accustomed to working in schools that serve students from all over the world including refugees from Burma, Somali, Nepal and several other countries. This week, our instructors attended a workshop on “Working with Refugee Youth” to get more information and tips on how to work with this unique population.
