KidsTek students at Denver’s North High School will soon have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and abilities in Microsoft Office Excel.
Students will be taking the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification. More than 1 million MOS exams are taken every year in over 140 countries. The MOS in Excel tests individuals’ ability to use Excel’s features efficiently in a timed performance-based practical exam using various scenarios.
KidsTek provides a daily computer elective at North High that is focusing this semester on mastery of Microsoft Excel. Our lessons prepare our students in creating and managing worksheets and workbooks, creating cells and ranges, creating tables, applying formulas and functions and creating charts and objects.
KidsTek’s high school classes often offer certification opportunities in order for our students to build their resumes and have marketable skills as they enter the workforce.
