On April 21st, KidsTek celebrated “College Friday,” an annual event held by College in Colorado, where we encouraged our students to continue their education after high school—whether at a college, university or through a certificate program. Program Specialists Meghan Lang and Kristina Calvert spent time at North High School in Denver and Hinkley High School in Aurora, to advocate for continuing education and share about their own college experiences. “We handed out college-based items to our students to get them excited about their future plans,” Meghan shared, “Celebrating this day also encouraged our students who are not quite sure what they want to do, to begin thinking about different post-high school options.”
