Ja’Naya Ward – February 2020 Student of the Month

Ja’Naya Ward is a senior at North High School in Denver in KidsTek’s Business Computing class. Her fun personality and willingness to participate is something that truly makes her stand apart. “She always works hard to finish her work and then is often working on things for other classes when she finishes,” says Program Manager Meghan Lang.

Throughout the year, Ja’Naya has shown her willingness to try new things, even when they are challenging. When she was asked how she feels about the class, she shared, “It’s fun to be in this class and learn more about technology. I feel like an adult now that I’m learning Excel because some adults don’t even know how to use it!” In her free time, Ja’Naya enjoys playing basketball for North High School and drawing in her mixed media book.

When Ja’Naya graduates from North High this May, she would like to pursue a career as a veterinarian to follow her passion for taking care of animals. Her love for dogs is very apparent, and talking about them brought a big smile to her face. Emily Tow, KidsTek Senior Instructor said, “Ja’Naya is an independent student who is always up for a challenge. I expect great things from her in the future!”

Congrats, Ja’Naya!
