KidsTek’s Student of the Month for June is Jaide Velasquez from Florence Crittenton High School. Jaide just finished her freshman year at FloCrit and earned a laptop for her successful completion of KidsTek’s Business Computing class. In this class, students learn to use key programs in the Google Apps Suite, such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides, through creative project-based learning.
“Jaide is smart as a whip and really impressed me with her work in class,” said Senior Instructor Emily Tow. “She became a true Google Sheets whiz!”
In her free time, Jaide likes to spend time on social media, especially TikTok, and take walks when it’s cool outside. “My favorite part about being in our class is that it’s a calm environment and a very helpful resource,” said Jaide.
After high school, Jaide plans to go into residential real estate.
