Jackson Harris – April 2021 Student of the Month

KidsTek’s Student of the Month for April is a senior at North High School in Denver. Jackson is an extremely optimistic student and a joy to have in class. He brings a little extra spark to every room he is in. Emily Tow, KidsTek Senior Instructor, teaches Jackson in KidsTek’s Business Computing class at North. Emily shared, “Jackson is such fun to have in class! He always brings a positive attitude to our classroom community and is great at connecting what we’re learning to real life experiences.”

KidsTek Program Manager Meghan Lang just began teaching a Business Ethics Certification class at North, and Jackson showed interest and decided to join. “His enthusiasm in class is really refreshing,” said Meghan. “He seems to always have something funny or upbeat to say and it keeps things fun in the classroom.” Jackson shared on the class sign-up form that “the Business Ethics certification looks like something great to put on my resume!”

In his free time, Jackson enjoys coloring comic book pages and competing with friends in video games. After he finishes up high school this year, Jackson will be going to Metro State and is interested in studying marketing. Jackson said KidsTek classes feel really unique, “I really like the energy and the vibe in the KidsTek classes. The work is fun, and the teachers are fun, too!”
