For the fourth year in a row, KidsTek provided the technology class for the college and career-oriented summer program, Aurora Youth 4 Success (AY4S.) The camp was held at Pickens Tech this year, and KidsTek instructor Nina Amey taught important business applications and skills such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and presenting as a group. Each summer, KidsTek teams up with Community Computer Connection to provide refurbished desktop computers for fifteen high school students in AY4S. This year, those students had the opportunity to look under the hood of their machines while Mrs. Amey incorporated a computer hardware lesson into the class before the students received their free PCs. Additionally, KidsTek awarded a NEW laptop to one outstanding student, Darius Orr. Congrats to Darius and all the AY4S graduates!
