Daniel Garcia: KidsTek Student and Employee

Throughout the years, KidsTek has employed current and former students as Teacher’s Aides in the classroom. Daniel Garcia took KidsTek’s Business Computing class at North High School during the 2018-2019 school year and was recognized for his excellence in class as well as his kind heartedness to everyone around him. As the summer began, Daniel was the perfect match to be hired as a Teacher’s Aide at Eagleton Elementary for the KidsTek summer program. Daniel shared his experience of working with Eagleton students, “My favorite part of being a teacher’s aide is getting to know the kids and being a mentor and a person that can help them learn and further their education.” With wonderful students like Daniel, it is a natural fit to have them mentoring KidsTek Elementary students and becoming role models for the students to look up to and learn from.

Meghan Lang, Program Manager at KidsTek, is thrilled to have Daniel as part of the team. “Having Daniel as a KidsTek employee has been a great fit. He is flexible, helpful, patient, and did a great job working with our 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders at Eagleton Elementary.” Going into the 2019-2020 school year, Daniel plans to return to help out the same instructor, Kiki Andriani, at Eagleton Elementary. Kiki has enjoyed having Daniel as a helper at Eagleton this summer as well. She says “Daniel is such a refreshing help in the classroom. He is so laid back and brings a great sense of calm, which is so appreciated!”
