Tuesday, December 9th marks the 5th annual Colorado Gives Day. Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Donations are tax-deductible and benefit local non-profits, such as KidsTek, allowing organizations to serve more participants and sustain current programs. For the first time ever, Colorado Gives Day will feature a $1 Million Incentive Fund created by its partners, Community First Foundation and FirstBank. That’s a 300 percent increase over last year and one of the largest gives-day incentive funds in the country!
Here’s how it works: If KidsTek receives 10 percent of the total amount of money raised on Colorado Gives Day, we also receive 10 percent of the $1 Million Incentive Fund. Donations start at as little as $10 per person and there is no limit on the amount an individual can donate. A donation to KidsTek will allow the organization to continue to provide technology literacy and bridge the digital divide at some of Colorado’s highest-needs schools in Denver, Aurora, Adams and Jefferson Counties.
Your donation on December 9th at will make the new year bright for students throughout the metro area by providing them with a variety of safe and enriching activities that increase their digital knowledge and experience. It is the gift that keeps on giving as the students develop lifelong, 21st century skills that will benefit them for years to come.
