At KidsTek, we are always looking for new, fun ways to raise funds that support our programs. Every generous donation helps us to host programs at local schools affordably. In an effort to make fundraising fun and interactive with our donors, KidsTek recently hosted two “rocket shot” holes at charity golf tournaments.
Last week’s tournament was hosted by SoftChoice and this week’s tourney was held by ProKarma. Both events were held at the beautiful Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton adjacent to Roxborough State Park.
At the KidsTek hole, players were greeted by our team and a large golf-ball rocket! Each golfer was offered the opportunity to purchase a shot that could replace their drive from the tee. Once they heard that the rocket could launch a golf ball 350+ yards, the players were sold! Proceeds of course, benefitted KidsTek, and we had many satisfied golfers participate at our hole in both tourneys. Everyone was shocked at the precision the golf-ball rocket had as their shots flew past even the best actual drives from the tee.
All of us at KidsTek could not be more thankful to those who came out and helped support our cause. At the end of the day, no matter how much fun we have at the golf course, our students are always at the forefront of everything we do.
A special thank you to SoftChoice, ProKarma, and everyone that shot the cannon.
