Bet for Tech!

Bet for Tech!

September was a busy month for KidsTek as the school year started, new instructors were hired, and events filled the staff’s calendars. To celebrate the beginning of another great year, KidsTek hosted a uniquely laid back fundraiser for the second year in a row: Bet for Tech.

Bet for Tech was a night of fun benefiting KidsTek that featured professional games of blackjack, roulette, craps and poker. This invite-only event was created for C-level execs to familiarize themselves with KidsTek programs and partners. With less than 100 attendees at the event, everyone was able to mix and mingle while learning a new game, or dominating the table with their eye on one of the many donated prizes. Aimee Charlton, KidsTek Executive Director and the mastermind behind creating this event, described Bet for Tech as, “a wonderful evening, perfect for catching up with old friends of KidsTek and for making many, many new ones.”

Also for the second year, the event was held at Grant-Humphreys Mansion. This neoclassical home offered the perfect balance of Denver history and cozy atmosphere as strangers and friends alike gathered to support KidsTek. This event space served as the perfect setting for guests to arrive and mingle before beginning a fun evening of casino games. At the end of the night, attendees who won the most chips got to collect their prizes. These included a group wine tasting, one-night stay at the Ritz-Carlton Denver, helicopter ride over the Royal Gorge, and many more exciting prizes for event attendees to celebrate their winnings.

Before the evening was over, Aimee Meester, Incoming KidsTek Board Chair and CEO at Madison Taylor Marketing, addressed the crowd to give a formal thanks to Richard Liner, former Executive Director for KidsTek. She gave a heartwarming review of the hard work and dedication that Rich has given to KidsTek as a co-founder, Executive Director, and now Board Chair, over the past 18 years.

Last but definitely not least: a big thanks to our wonderful sponsors that made this event possible: Moss Adams, Flux Psychology, Tempus Hood, and VP Legacies. KidsTek truly values your continued support!
