Joshua Garza is one of 42 teens to receive the 2012 Arapahoe County Mayors and Commissioners Youth Award, created to recognize students who overcome adversity.
He is a senior at Aurora Central High, enrolled in KidsTek’s Cisco networking class. Josh is one of only two students currently earning an ‘A’ in the class.
Josh’s nomination was recognized in two ceremonies: one held by the City of Aurora on April 5 and more recently with Arapahoe County Mayors and Commissioners on April 26. At the more recent ceremony, Josh won a $500 scholarship to the Colorado Community College system!
KidsTek is very proud of Josh and his accomplishments this school year!
